Inspection of factory

In order with Business Reform Action Plan in the State of Rajasthan and to facilitate industrialist, RajFAB Portal has been formulated to execute the vision of providing easy and convenient access to the services to the enterprise(s) through remote online access. With the help of the portal, applicants shall be able to apply online for factory registration /renewal/drawing approval/self-certification and boiler registration /renewal/self-certification. Applicants can apply, make online payment, view the application status and download certificats/licence online. User can submit Single Integrated Return under all Labour Acts/inspection compliance/notice of Incident.

Providing easy, in time, anywhere and anytime access to various departmental services. services. Ensures privacy and authorized access to applicant's data.
Online only. No need to come to office.
To provide all work/activities related to department done online only and user need not come to office. Reducing direct interaction of citizens with the Government and encourage ā€œeā€- interaction and more efficient communication through the portals.
Reduction in cost
Reducing administrative tasks and service execution time and cost for the Government and user. Provide paperless and transparent work.

Q1. Why my factory is to be inspected?

    Factories and Boilers Inspection Department enforces Factories Act, 1948 and rules made thereunder for safety, health and welfare of the workers. Vsit Acts and Rules page Your factory is inspected to ensure the compliance of the provisions related to safety, health and welfare of the workers are being carried out or not.

Q2. How is my factory selected for inspection?
    Factories are allocated randomly to inspectors within their jurisdiction i.e. full Division by the web portal RajFAB of this department based on the computerized risk assessment.

Q3. What is the scheme for the inspection of factory?
    Factories have been divided in three categories i.e. high risk, medium risk and low risk.

    Self-certification Scheme is available for Low Risk factories.
    Provision for Third party audit for Medium Risk factories in place of inspection by departmental inspector is available.

Q6. Who does inspect my factory?

    Any inspector of this department and as allocated randomly by the RajFAB web portal alongwith an inspector of Labour Deparatment allocated by similar process by LDMS web portal carry out the inspection jointly under all labour laws i.e.
    1. Inspection under The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976

    2. Inspection under The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961

    3. Inspection under The Minimum Wages Act, 1948

    4. Factories Act, 1948

    5. Inspection under The Shops and Establishments Act (as applicable)

    6. Inspection under The Labour Welfare Fund Act (as applicable)

    7. Inspection under The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965

    8. Inspection under The Payment of Wages Act, 1936

    9. Inspection under The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972

    10. Inspection under The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970

    Inspector has to upload the inspection report on RajFAB web portal within 48 hours. You can login to your account and can view the inspection report and can also comply with online.
